U S District Judge Gerhard Gesell postponed Oliver Norths sentencing to July 5 and set a June 28 hearing on defense claims that juror Tara Leigh King lied on a pretrial questionnaire and used crack cocaine before the Iran Contra trial. The defense argues Kings disclosed records show family members with court involvement and calls into question impartiality and trial fairness. King had admitted prior drug use but said she was sober during the 14 week trial.
