Homegrown jazz bands swing into Syracuse Jazz Fest
Two Syracuse groups headline day two of Merchants Bank Syracuse Jazz Fest. Nick Palumbo’s Dixieland Update delivered traditional tunes at the Farmer’s Market to about 400 fans, while Ninety One offered contemporary swing at The Galleries center court. Both acts drew steady crowds as festival week continues with weekend concerts in Clinton Square and local clubs, with names like Grover Washington Jr and Freddie Hubbard teased for future dates.
