Amendments Could Boost NY Milk Pool Returns in May
Metropolitan Marketing Administrator N J Cladaxis announced the May pool would rise under proposed changes to federal sale marketing orders. If in effect on May 1, the pool would have reached 14 281 1, with a higher uniform price around 1 83 dollars per hundredweight and a potential monthly gain near 1500 dollars for dairy farmers, though May’s surplus and other factors temper the projection.
