Forecaster notes panly cloudy skies with a stray evening thunderstorm tonight. Friday brings partly sunny, warm conditions with higher humidity. Saturday turns cloudy with a chance of thunderstorms. Sunday and Monday trend cooler with periods of clouds and sun.
A line of storms moved across the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley while showers spread over the northern Plains and Southwest. Severe thunderstorms were likely from Iowa to Minnesota and Wisconsin, with flash flooding possible in central Texas. Temperatures spiked to record highs in California and across the lower 48, with many regions experiencing 60s to 100s.
Southwest winds 10-20 knots on Oneids Onondaga Lake with 1-3 foot waves and warnings. Lake Ontario winds 10-20 knots with 2-4 foot swells. Western Lakes also see southwest winds 10-20 knots with 1-3 foot waves. Visibility is good.
