Mars crater hints at frozen water says Tennessee geologist
TN geologist Harry Moore, of the TDOT and a planetary think tank, reports a large crater north of Mars equator with a floor that may house frozen water ice. He cites reflective, smooth surfaces in several craters near Cydonia, suggesting possible shallow ice or melted water in the crater floor from ancient or recent heat sources. He notes theories include heat from impacts or cracks in bedrock releasing water and compounds for potential future exploration. The NASA Mars Global Surveyor imagery, released last fall, underpins his analysis of the Cydonia region.

Sky Watch Star Map Notes Libra Clues and Ancient Claws
Sky watch at 10 00 pm Sunday June 14 outlines Libra the Scales with roots in ancient astronomy. It explains Libra’s link to day night equality when the Sun entered the sign over 3000 years ago and how Scorpius was tied to Libra. Zubeneschamali and Zubenelgenubi are named for the claws, highlighting historical star atlas usage and color notes on Zubeneschamali. The viewer map can be held vertically with the user facing direction at the bottom. the outer circle marks the horizon and the map is accurate for the stated time.
