Counselor Named for S A Coeds at Syru University
Russ Kathryn W Copeland of Tidioute Pennsylvania joins Syru University as dean of women and director of activities counselor for city women. Barbara Me will become vocational education counselor for women. Copeland, June graduate of the student dean course, previously head resident at Powers and Charles cottages and Parker cottage. Mertz, two year city women adviser, will take the vocational post, native of Topeka Kansas.

Recreation Dept to Train Apprentices
The National Recreation Association chose City Recreation Department for apprentice training in recreation administration. Alfred Bradford Jensen Jr. received a one year grant to study and work here during the next 12 months under Helena G. Hoyt. Jensen, a Penn Yan native, signed on with the program this week and and his wife have moved to Nedrow. He is a Penn Yan Public Schools and Academy graduate, earned a 1944 degree from Syracuse University College of Liberal Arts, served three and a half years in the Army as a captain, and returned to graduate study at the Maxwell School of Citizenship last fall.

Two at State Job Service on Leave
Angie Peluso and Robert Wooldridge, interviewers for the New York State Employment Service, have taken six month leaves of absence after years of service. A farewell party is planned at the Eluntors' Club with remarks from committee chair Mrs. Yetta Katz, Miss Anne Bonn, Mrs. Irene Martin, and manager Benjamin Barry. Peluso has nine years of service, Wooldridge four.
