Demand Diverts New Cars To Used Lots, Dealers Told
An automobile salesman from Detroit says demand and the law of supply push new cars toward used lots at high prices. A. B. Nielson, Eastern sales manager for DeSoto Plymouth, cites building limits and consumer desire as the main causes and urges increasing production to meet demand. He spoke with Syracuse dealers at the Hotel Onondaga amid a large gathering planning the annual meeting of the Dairymen’s League with talks by Rep. Clifford R. Hope and Wheeler McMillen.
