First Direct Image Shows Rogue Planet Outside Solar System
Astronomer Susan Terebey using Hubble Space Telescope captured what she calls the first direct photo of a planet outside the solar system. The runaway world, named TMR-10, is about 450 light years away in Taurus and was likely ejected from a double star system forming a glowing filament as it moved.
