5000 Reserves To Get Navy Duty

The Navy will accept up to 5000 qualified reserve officers for limited tours starting July 1. Tours may last two, three, or four years, based on qualifications and Navy needs. Wingless Aircraft Tested by Emporia Inventor

EMPORIA Va. Charles Pritchard a railroader plans a Friday test of a wingless aircraft he developed. A mile long Emporia airport runway will host the initial flight under supervision as he aims to combine air travel with highway use after a decade of work.

Aluminum wingless craft aimed at Virginian air travel

Pritchard of the Virginian Railways develops a wingless aluminum air ship about 21 feet long and 98 inches wide with tricycle gear and a 0 percent engine.
