Judge fines IRS for abuse of authority in tax case

In Denver a federal judge reprimanded the IRS for damages and fees afterAgency misconduct during a warehouse seizure and public disclosure of Ward family tax disputes. Judge Downes said abuse of authority will not be tolerated while Ward says the IRS caused distress and humiliation.

FBI probes theft as weapons found near van in Memphis

FBI recovered 12 of 13 missing weapons including M 16 rifles MP 5s and grenade launchers. The unmarked Chevrolet Suburban used by an Arkansas FBI unit was stolen from a Budgetel Inn parking lot with seven M 16s three MP 5s a 12 gauge shotgun two M 79 launchers and ammunition. Four people detained for questioning as probe continues.
