Morgan Road Sewer Project Faces Reduced Opposition

Opposition to forming the Morgan Road Sanitary District faded after a public hearing where officials said only users would pay for sewage facilities. The plan, in Clay Town, would cover the area between Wetzel Road and the Salina town line, from the Seneca River to Morgan Road, with Bayberry Corp indemnifying the county against losses if the 1,200-home project is not built. The 3300000 total cost includes 200000 for a treatment plant and the rest for a trunk sewer. John Deegan presented a petition with 156 property owners seeking Bayberry-only amendments.
