Three cousins Kathleen Mauro 14 Patricia Mauro 12 and Norma Omolino 16 swam beyond shore in Onondaga Lake Willow Bay. Kathleen slipped off a submerged ledge into 30 feet of water and sank. Patricia and Norma, both unable to help, drew near danger but Patricia reached shallow water. Norma failed to reach safety and the story continues on the next page.
