A slowly moving storm system will bring unsettled weather across central New York over the next several days with periods of showers and thunderstorms. Tomorrow may see isolated showers and storms as the system lingers, with similar chances continuing through Monday and Tuesday as the weak storm meanders through the area.
Forecasters expect more rain and thunderstorms across the Northeast and Midwest with possible gusts up to 60 mph, hail, and isolated floods. Scattered showers extend to the Southeast and central Plains, while the West remains mostly dry and hot except for evening showers in the Rockies, Four Corners, and Pacific Northwest coasts.
Oneida and Fingal regions report southeast winds 5 to 10 knots. Waves around 1 foot. Visibility under 3 miles in showers. Lake Ontario shows southeast winds 5 to 10 knots with 1 to 2 foot waves and showers reducing visibility to under 3 miles.
The record high is 102 degrees in 1936 and the low at 44 in 1946. Normal temperature for the period is 70.4 with precipitation 3.41 and zero snowfall. The warmest reading on record is 76.7 in 1985, and the coldest is 6.7 in 1976.
