Skaneateles Country Club lands deal with Congel family

The Skaneateles Country Club, seeking to protect its long term access to the lakefront, formed a partnership with the Congel family to purchase most of a large property. The deal bars separate sale of The Point, includes club ownership of the 79 acre Pot parcel, and leaves the Congel family as owner of the rest. The land was bought for 3.14 million and 676 thousand for the Point, with town and state grants involved in earlier stages.
