An extended forecast warns heavy clouds and rain across North Carolina to Maine with flood risk in Eastern New York and New England. The Southeast and lower Gulf States face scattered showers and thunderstorms, while the western Great Lakes to mid Mississippi Valley see more cloud cover and showers. Strongest storms target Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa and northern Missouri with additional activity in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas. Pacific region includes Nevada, northern California and Oregon with highs from 70s to 100s across areas. Temperature spread reaches 113 in Thermal California to 30 in Meacham Oregon.
