A line of thunderstorms hit the northern Plains with warm conditions across two thirds of the nation. Colorado and Utah saw strong storms that caused power outages and mudslides, while Utah church parking lot sinkhole swallowed a pickup due to heavy rain. West Virginia flood looters and gawkers marked the disaster as at least one death and 3500 homes flooded statewide. Temperatures ranged from 41 in Leadville Colorado to 108 in Bullhead City Arizona.
Forecast shows northwest winds 8 to 16 knots with 1 to 2 foot waves tomorrow. Lake Ontario may reach 10 to 20 knots with 2 to 4 foot waves and unrestricted visibility. Finger Lakes expect 8 to 16 knots, 1 to 2 foot waves, and unrestricted visibility.
