Malcolm Shabazz pleads guilty in Betty Shabazz fire

Malcolm Shabazz, Malcolm X’s grandson, pleads guilty to juvenile manslaughter and arson for the June 1 fire that killed Betty Shabazz. He admits starting the blaze to be with his mother in Texas as pre sentencing hearings begin.

Heisman Trophy on Pay-Per-View Melt Option?

O J Simpson’s Heisman Trophy becomes subject of a sensational claim that it could be melted and sold on pay per view. Goldman’s lawyer Dame Petrocelli said a bona fide offer exists and the possibility was raised during CNBC Rivera Live, prompting questioning by Geraldo Rivera. Fawn pierced ear case leads to arrest in Virginia

Bettie Phillips of Hiddenite North Carolina faced misdemeanor cruelty to animals and illegal possession of wildlife charges after placing a gold cross earring on an orphaned fawn found near Interstate 81 in Harrisonburg Virginia. A tipster alerted police, the fawn was taken to a wildlife center, and Phillips defended her actions saying she did not think she was harming it.

Gore daughter Karenna to wed Andrew Schiff at cathedral

Karenna Gore, 23, eldest child of Al and Tipper Gore, will marry Dr. Andrew Schiff, 31, Saturday evening at Washington National Cathedral. The ceremony recalls her father’s 1993 wedding as more than 300 guests are invited to the neo-Gothic cathedral.
