Deer sterilization study eyed for Cayuga Heights village

Cornell University wildlife specialist Paul Curtis says Cayuga Heights plans the nation s first community wide deer sterilization trial. A field hospital will operate this fall to sterilize 10 to 15 female deer as a pilot, with about 30 more in winter aiming to cut the herd from roughly 150 by two thirds.

Jenna Bush fined for underage drinking and license suspension

Jenna Bush, daughter of President Bush, was fined 600 dollars and had her driver’s license suspended for 30 days after no contest pleas to underage drinking and attempting to use someone else’s ID at a May 29 restaurant. The April incident will be recorded as a conviction. Her sister Barbara also faced related charges.
