Norway saves lives by coordinating global distress calls
In SOLA Norway rescue leader Ole Vaage and the Rescue Coordination Center monitor satellites and telex to direct ships to distress calls. The center averages ten saves daily with 13 staff, coordinating with navy coast guard police and volunteers to help distant ships and offshore crews.
