Three New M-47 Tanks Arrive for 208th Tank Battalion
Three M-47 tanks arrived today to join the two existing units of the 208th Tank Battalion. They were unloaded in New York Central freight yards and escorted to the Jefferson Street Armory. Battalion commander Maj. Edward H. Tasker said the tanks would be processed tomorrow night and ready for training Sunday at Hancock Field.
