Postal services will rise about 60 percent and radio television fees 50 percent as basic goods move toward market levels amid a stalled economy and subsidy debt. The pope’s spokesman denied taking sides in the Polish political dispute, stating John Paul II is not backing Mazowiecki or Walesa.
