Pataki budget ups Centro aid to record level

Governor Pataki proposed a 2001-21 budget that would boost Centro's operating funds to 16.1 million, a 34 percent increase, enabling expansion of routes including Salina to Carrier Circle and East Syracuse industrial areas. The plan raises statewide mass transit aid by 120 million to 1.7 billion, with many upstate systems gaining but Rochester’s bus company not.
