Hispanic ballet excites with diverse Spanish roots
A near dozen young dancers delivered a varied program at the Crouse-Hinds Theater showcasing Spanish speaking cultures in America. Geoffrey Holder’s Birds in Paradise and Danse Creole stood out for originality, while Caravanserai showed energy but faltered with tempo. Fiesta En Vera Cruz opened the evening with traditional flair. Audience size was modest, yet the troupe earned praise for quality and execution.
