Endeavour Returns From Night Landing With Satellite Pickup

Commander Brian Duffy piloted shuttle Endeavour to a rare night touchdown at Kennedy Space Center after a 3.7 million mile mission. The crew retrieved a Japanese science satellite after nine years in orbit and released a NASA probe, amid a high priority science mission. The Japan Space Agency paid NASA about 65 million dollars for the operation.

Clinton Calls Barbara Jordan a National Treasure at Funeral

President Clinton remembered Barbara Jordan as a leader who gave voice to our national conscience and reasoned debates. He mourned the Texas Democrat who died this week from pneumonia and leukemia complications at age 59. Simpson questioning to begin Monday

O J Simpson scheduled to face depositions in the wrongful death civil suit brought by the families of Ronald Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson. Under oath, he cannot invoke the Fifth Amendment, with Fredric Goldman’s lawyer Tanker Petrocelli leading questions in Los Angeles.
