Nine-vehicle pileup kills Oneida woman in Vernon
A 92-year-old Oneida woman, Ethel A. Gilleece of Lenox Avenue, died when the car she rode in slammed head-on on ice covered Route 4 four miles east of Vernon. Betty Bremman, 60, of Oneida drove the other vehicle. seven other cars in the chain collided as icy conditions spread.
