The Rev. George P. Hetenyi a 40 year old Episcopal supply pastor was sentenced to 30 years to life by County Judge James J. O Mara for second degree murder in the fatal shooting of his wife Jean 25 whose body was later found in the Genesee River. The trial featured 47 witnesses for the prosecution and little defense from the defense attorney. The Hungarian born clergyman wore clerical garb and faced the court with little emotion as his mother attended the proceedings.
