London January 11 Britain maintains control of the Mediterranean as Leslie Hore-Belisha notes Italian supply lines and Egyptian bases guiding the push into Cyrenaica. Bruno the 185 pound St Bernard mascot at the U S Coast Guard base Floyd Bennett Field was killed in service by a new airplane model he did not know. He pulled propellers from warming planes and died when a Lockheed aircraft's propellers struck him. Military honors were given at a burial attended by 80 post members.
