Sensis Corp awarded up to 100 million to build and install ALDES airport surface detection systems. First installation at Orlando International this year with 24 more airports planned, potentially adding four more for logistics and training. Sensis currently employs 200 and may hire engineers across disciplines as work expands.
Eight grants totaling 3.5 million dollars go to Syracuse area agencies serving the homeless. The Salvation Army lands the largest grant 745 901 for a youth residence with mental illness plus renewals for Transitional Apartments and Parenting Center 157 503 for the Transitional Independent Living Program 3663 335 for the Parenting Center. Other recipients include Tennai New York Services Inc Syracuse Behavioral Healthcare Syracuse Housing Authority and the Rescue Mission Alliance with grants ranging from 299 999 to 861 822.
