Parental control bill aims to bind PINS until eighteen
Albany Assemblyman Bill Bush of Camillus introduces a measure to grant parents jurisdiction over youths labeled as PINS until age 18. He argues current rules let PINS avoid parental authority after 16 while parents remain financially responsible, creating runaways and unreciprocated control. The bill would set emancipation age and end parental financial duty at 18.
