A winter storm moves through Central New York tonight bringing light snow showers. Expect squalls tomorrow with a cold wind. Two additional systems on Friday and Monday could bring more accumulating snow, with unsettled conditions continuing into the period.
Dense fog will blanket western states while snow falls targeted at the Midwest and East. Forecasts indicate reduced visibility in western areas as moisture moves eastward with continued fragmentation of snow bands and lingering travel advisories.
An Eastward disturbance from the Mississippi Valley triggers 2 to 4 inch snow accumulations in Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, New York, and Pennsylvania, with 1 to 2 inch showers in parts of Wisconsin, Iowa, and Missouri. California and Northwest states face rain and dense fog, while Florida faces subfreezing lows harming citrus. highs range from 20s to 70s across regions.
