Toronto Feb 23 UP Captain A P Stenberg commander of the Finnish War Veterans in the Waited Sates praised Canadian soldiers for magnificent work fighting with Finnish forces against Russia. He said Canada would not recruit here and noted the United States had sent 35,002 men who were listed as mechanics, not soldiers.
In Athens on February 23 twelve Greek seamen were sentenced to one year in prison for subordination while their vessels were docked in American and European ports. Prosecutors alleged influence by searchists and Communist agents.
