Mystery elevator claims lives at SU Day Hall

SU student died in what residents call the mystery elevator at Day Hall. Report notes he was trapped in the doors Thursday, linking to a prior fatal incident with Matthew Waaser. Day Hall, housing eight floors, has three elevators and was inspected last month amid concerns of ongoing problems.

Elevator death at Syracuse University under investigation

A 19 year old Syracuse University student, Matthew Waaser, died after an eight floor Day Hall elevator closed on him while he was entering and the elevator moved up with his body outside the shaft. Police say preliminary findings show no warning signs were posted for maintenance.

Iraqi missiles strike deep inside Iran report
