Rev Bainton, Yale scholar, dies at 89 in New Haven

The Rev Roland H Bainton a leading religious historian of the Reformation and 42 year Yale faculty member died after a long illness at Yale New Haven Hospital He was 89 and had written 32 books two biographies selling over a million copies each A Yale divinity graduate born in England he also lectured widely and was a conscientious objector during WWI Survived by three daughters two sons a sister and four great grandchildren.

Interlaken announces the death of mayor Thelma M. Peabody age 68 at her West Avenue home after a long illness.
