Plane wreck near Alton claims pilot dead. passenger survives
Alton Maine UP I report says a private plane missing six days was found 400 yards off the Alton airport runway. Pilot Frank Goodin 46 of Alton died. Frederick King 22 his son in law also of Alton survived, rescued in critical condition. King was conscious but incoherent, with legs pinned by the instrument panel and water from a nearby brook running through the wreckage after a fishing trip gone wrong.
