Liquor Tax Based On Net Cost Proposal Reached

The Liquor Dealers Association announced an agreement with the City Sales Tax Bureau to base sales tax on net cost rather than gross. President Joseph Buran said consumers could save, while retailers would display a chart showing how tax is calculated and mark the exact tax amount on each bottle strip stamp.
