Four Men With Masks Held After Polio Nighttime Chase
Four men with arms and masks held by county authorities after a high speed 93 mile per hour chase on a Syracuse area Thruway ending at Thompson Road. Two women, Mrs Eleanor Rich and Mrs Ellen Bullock, hospitalized with polio after the Christmas period. one mother of six, Bullock, transferred to hospital for treatment. Officers say the car carried three 25 caliber and one .38 caliber handguns and dark masks to cover faces. Persons named include Paul Richards of Central Square and four men from Chicago area. suspects to be charged with possession of concealed weapons. The incident began when the car was seen heading east on the Thruway near Newdrew.
