Rimma Bravve, 32, of Moscow arrived in New York after a seven year wait granted to pursue advanced cancer care. She credited the help of many people during her struggle and told reporters at JFK Airport she worries for other patients still awaiting fate. Bravve and her husband Vladimir were greeted by her mother Khanna Anbinder and met by Larisa Shapiro, who emigrated from Rochester years ago. Bravve plans to enter Rochester hospital for treatment of advanced ovarian cancer.
The Syracuse forecast shows sunny high 305 today with cloudy tonight and sunny periods into Monday. Extended outlook expects partly cloudy conditions but includes garbled numbers. Tuesday may be 303, and a mixed rain and wet snow pattern is indicated for Wednesday and Thursday with lows around 35 and highs near 40.
