A man Leo Mander 25 his wife Debra 23 and two sons Terry 3 Michael 1 died in a morning blaze that gutted four apartments and a furniture store at 81 Wall St Auburn Five others were left homeless including Bonnie Helmer and her daughter Michelle Diana Short and her daughter Ambert and Henry Rossi The fire was reported at 447 am by a milkman Joseph Seneca 7 Wood St who alerted residents The blaze started in the basement and spread to a stairway investigators sift ruins demolition cost estimated at 35000 by owner Raymond Rossi The fire chief called the milkman a hero and noted the fire is not yet deemed suspicious.
