Tornado kills boy twin kin in Alabama disaster

A 9 year old boy born in Auburn, Willis Grant IV, died in the Tuscaloosa tornado along with great aunt Dorothy Gibbons and great grandmother Harriet Gibbons. The storm destroyed their home as part of a 12 mile path that left 12 dead and 75 injured with winds up to 200 mph. Willis had moved to Alabama with his mother in 1998 after their divorce. He was active at the local Seventh Day Adventist Church and described as kind and devout. His family ties include his Union Springs roots and his aunt’s church membership.
