Galleries of Syracuse multiuse project to reshape downtown
A $50 million mixed-use development called The Galleries of Syracuse spans the 400 block of South Salina Street. Canadian developers Amlea Inc and Canada Realties Inc partner with the Metropolitan Development Association to lease 119,310 square feet of the county library space for up to 20 years with options to purchase, and plan a second phase of a $25 million office tower. Construction target is late 1984 with financing discussions underway.
