Clay town government to remap with five departments plan
Clay town government will hold an 8 p m hearing on a reorganization aimed at streamlining administration into five major departments finance planning and development recreation and human resources with public safety and public works to follow. The plan, created with county planners, consolidates about 20 officials reporting to the town supervisor, and aims to model growth management for other towns in the county. Frank Wood Jr says the system frees the supervisor to think and plan, while Loxley Firth notes the plan shifts reporting lines to five department heads with divisions under them.
