Police Halt Arby Hines Death Probe
Police halted the investigation into the 1949 Carmen Valerino murder after the coroner ruled Arby Hines died of natural causes. Hines 27 a former taxi driver testified in the Mault/Everhardt trial. He died after reportedly drinking at a party. services are set for Wednesday at 2 PM at Carl J Ballweg Funeral Home with burial at Onondaga Valley Cemetery.

Jap Photos Found In Crashed Car
In Syracuse authorities said a package of aerial photos of Japan was found in an abandoned car parked outside 449 Shennard Street. The driver, suspected of trying to steal two other cars, was involved in a crash that left the vehicle hitting a tree in front of Mrs. Lombardo’s home. Police recovered Army clothing and other items. the car was traced to Raymond Hodge of RD 1, Aha.
