Massive protest in Argentina ends in clashes and deaths
More than 100,000 people marched through Buenos Aires in the largest anti junta protest since 1976. The march ended with clashes in Plaza de Mayo as police tear gas and youths clashed, leaving one civilian dead and many injured. Police say 120 arrests. DYN cites four policemen in plain clothes seen firing. Authorities promise elections later in 1983 with power handed over by Oct 12 1983.
