War Work Awards Given to GE Officials at Schenectady Plant
The War Department awards top civilian honor to Dr Wy R G Baker vice president and general manager of GE electronics in Syracuse for leading development and production of radio and radar gear. Frank B Cliffe assistant GE comptroller cited for patriotism in settling GE contracts. Baker born Lockport educated Union College and longtime radio pioneer. Cliffe Philadelphia native and Penn Wharton graduate, long GE and wartime service including atomic project leadership.
