Syracuse Pedestrian Death Is 25th This Year
Howard Kornman 73 of 353 East Genesee Street died at University Hospital from injuries after being struck by a car in front of 1059 South Salina Street. Driver George G. Drake of 112 Meredith Avenue was cited for reckless driving after the crash in overnight traffic left two injured. The coroner noted compound fractures and back injuries as the cause of death.

Camp Fire Girls donated gifts to the Christmas Bureau during their annual Christmas vesper service at the YWCA. Mrs. George M. Richter and Mrs. Kenneth R. LaVoy accepted the gifts for the bureau. Patricia Walker, Constance Tumalo Walker, and Joan Walker joined in the candle lighting ceremony. Mrs. William K. Tracy spoke, and carols were sung by Konoweda Horizon Club. Phoebe Miller conducted the carols with accompanists Mrs. A. Robert Perry and Marian Kernan.
