Flight 800 hearing sparks lawsuits by victim families
Lawyers for 230 relatives pressed defamation and negligence claims after the NTSB inquiry into the Paris bound TWA Flight 800 crash. They seek larger damages if it proves TWA knew of defects and Boeing shared responsibility, as depositions target Boeing and the jet’s wiring and fuel-tank design. The FBI said no bomb evidence, while the NTSB probes fuel vapors and wiring for a rare explosion cause. Families awaiting resolution endure ongoing waiting and anticipation of further tests.
