NASA venture to build utterly reliable software widely
NASA, Carnegie Mellon University and twelve high tech firms form the High Dependability Computing Consortium to eliminate crashes in critical software. Targeted systems include air traffic control, space missions, banking and health care, aiming for safer skies, better health care and successful missions despite past bugs like the Mars Polar Lander failure.
