Last of the Red Hot Lovers stage show at OCC sinks
The Onondaga Community College drama department stages The Last of the Red Hot Lovers in Storer Auditorium for a two weekend run. Critics note diminished scope and stale material from the Neil Simon comedy though some performances show life and talent with strong Elaine Navazio and Bobbi Michele segments.

Snow and Ice Tremble Midwest as Floods Worsen
Snow and freezing rain swept the Midwest killing an Ohio traveler and hindering cleanup as Mississippi Valley floods swell. Snow stretched from the Great Lakes to New England with 3 to 4 inch accumulations around Cleveland while flooding left more than 600 million dollars in damage in Mississippi Valley. At least 16 deaths blamed on storms across the region include a fatal Ohio car-truck crash near Smithville. Arizona snow and Colorado mountains face 3 to 6 inch snowfall. New York City logged 18 degrees with emergency lines flooded by heat complaints. Illinois, Missouri and Arkansas reported 22 flood deaths as 107 counties declared disaster areas and thousands faced homelessness. River levels in Cairo and elsewhere remained near flood crests, with Kaskaskia Island stably containing Mississippi overflow.
