Competitive Selling Seen Back in 53

Henry H Heimann New York vice president of the National Association of Credit Men told about 200 Syracuse Association of Credit Men at a Hotel Syracuse dinner that business must prepare for a more competitive era. He predicted a satisfactory year ahead with high industrial production and earnings similar to this year, though some dividend reductions may occur to preserve cash for operations. He noted potential excise tax shifts and argued decades of socialistic trends cannot be reversed quickly, expecting sounder fiscal policy under the new GOP administration and continued Social Security on a wiser base.
