High pressure brings sun and dry weather to New England and the Southeast while Great Lakes to lower Mississippi Valley stay clear. Southern Plains face rain and thunderstorms tonight with possible high winds and hail. Central Plains see rising clouds. northern Plains stay partly cloudy. Heavy snow 6 to 12 inches in central and southern Rockies. Pacific Northwest gets light to moderate rain with gusty winds. Central West mostly dry. elevations in Rockies face cold highs from 30s to 40s. tropical Gulf Coast and Southeast hit 60s to 80s. Lower 48 highs 0 to 80 degrees range.
